PACCON2026 Conference Logo and Theme
The logo of the Pure and Applied Chemistry International Conference 2026 (PACCON2026) has been thoughtfully designed to reflect the essence of chemistry, modernity, and simplicity. It embodies the integration of the core identity of PACCON with symbolic inspiration drawn from the host institution, Naresuan University. Central to the logo is the silhouette of a war elephant—the royal elephant of King Naresuan the Great during historic elephant-back battles. Rendered in a simple sleek orange line, the elephant’s head draft design also subtly conveys the imagery of a movement of single electron, resonating with core concepts in chemistry.
Accompanying the elephant is the iconic conical flask, a long-standing emblem of the PACCON conference, containing the abbreviation PACCON and the full title “Pure and Applied Chemistry International Conference.” The text is presented in grey, complemented by the year “2026” in orange, reflecting the official university colors of Naresuan University—grey and orange. Notably, the digit zero (“0”) in “2026” is creatively replaced with the image of the Thai bungor flower or “Sa-lao” (Lagerstroemia loudonii. Teijsm. & Bin.), the symbolic flower of the university, which also appears subtly as part of the elephant’s ear.
The official theme of PACCON2026, “The Global Future of Chemistry with AI,” highlights a transformative era in chemical sciences—one driven by the rapid advancement of Artificial Intelligence (AI). AI is no longer just a tool for molecular modeling or data processing; it is emerging as a true intellectual partner in accelerating the discovery of new drugs, optimizing synthetic pathways for functional molecules, and advancing multiscale data analysis from the nanoscale to the macroscopic level. This year’s theme is both a challenge and an invitation—urging participants to collectively explore AI’s transformative potential in reshaping the landscape of chemistry across education, research, and industry. Together, we advance toward a smarter, more resilient future for humanity.
